Senior Financial Analyst


We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to leadership and business units. This role goes beyond traditional FP&A functions, providing insights that directly influence decision-making, drive operational efficiency, and shape the company’s growth trajectory.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at translating complex financial data into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, operations, and cross-functional teams, supporting both tactical execution and long-term strategic initiatives.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A or strategic financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred
• MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth technology environment.
• Familiarity with modern finance tools, automation, and reporting systems.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts in partnership with department leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on financial performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct rigorous monthly variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and historical performance.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and the Board, distilling complex financial information into clear, strategic insights.
• Design, build, and maintain advanced financial models to support scenario planning, strategic initiatives, and growth projections.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to inform key business decisions and support long-term planning.
• Partner with operations, sales, engineering, and other departments to provide financial guidance, develop meaningful KPIs, and support operational decision-making.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and business objectives.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis, support M&A due diligence, and participate in special projects as assigned.
• Occasional travel (once per quarter) to Altumint’s Lanham, MD headquarters for in-person collaboration and strategic planning sessions.
• Other ad hoc requests as necessary
